Description:
Joseph Bologne Saint-Georges lived from 25th December 1745 to the 10th of June 1799 and was/is commonly and some say patronisingly referred to as the 'Black Mozart'. The scores for all six quartets were transcribed from a set of parts published by the Parisian publishers Sieber in 1773. The current editor has endeavoured to correct any obvious errors, and the dynamics and bowings are largely editorial. The PDF also contains a part for violin III, doubling that of the viola.
